Joaquin A. Urrego

Postdoctoral Scholar at UC - Berkeley

Welcome! I am a Postdoc at the University of California - Berkeley. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University. My fields are Urban Economics, Development and Applied Econometrics,  with a particular focus on the Economics of Crime. My research uses GIS analysis to understand how the built environment and neighborhood amenities explain different spatial patterns of informal housing, crime rates, commercial rents, and police activity.
